Kiwi Iced Tea
Beat the scorching summer heat with this 10-minute iced tea that is crammed with the citrus goodness of kiwis!
Besides being ultra refreshing, they also manage to pack in a ton of nutrients as well.
They’re rich in vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants, and are particularly known for its high content of Vitamin C.
Here’s how to make a tall glass of iced tea with a kiwi twist:
INGREDIENTS:-
- 2 cups water
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 tbsp black tea or green tea leaves
- 2 kiwi fruit
- 1/2 cup maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
- 1/4 cup mint leaves
- Ice cubes, as required
- Lemon wedges and kiwi slices, as required
INSTRUCTIONS:-
- Heat water in a small pot over medium heat.
- Bring to a boil and add the tea leaves.
- Turn off the heat and allow the tea leaves to steep in the water for at least 5 minutes (or longer for a stronger tea).
- Stir in the maple syrup and lemon juice. Set aside and let the tea mixturecool to room temperature.
- Add the peeled kiwis to a blender and blend to a smooth purée.
- Divide the kiwi purée into 2 tall glasses and add iced cubes as required.
- Using a strainer, pour in the tea.
- Garnish with mint leaves, lemon wedges and kiwi slices. Serve immediately.
